April was a VERY busy month for Roc NORML–and we are excited to catch you up on everything.

First, let’s start with the NYS budget being passed on April 1st without a bill to legalize cannabis for adult-use. While this was the goal, it was not our only hope to legalize this year in NY! We are still working hard and hopeful we’ll get a bill passed by the end of this legislative session – but we’ll need your help to make that happen! Click here to send an email to your Senator and Assembly Member, asking for their support, and keep reading to learn more ways to get involved…

But before we get to that, we have to talk about our 4/20 Patio Party

4/20 Roc NORML Table

We want to thank everyone who came out on 4/20 and helped make “A Most NORML Patio Party” fundraiser for Roc NORML a huge success! ?

With your support, we were able to raise over $1,700 to help support the work we’re doing.

Your donations make our work possible, including: ?

  • ➡️ Lobbying federal state, and local officials
  • ➡️ Advocating that reform be centered in racial and social justice
  • ➡️ Facilitate community meetings and events
  • ➡️ Provide education and outreach in the community, and so much more!

None of this would have been possible without our host, Three Heads Brewing, who provided the venue, entertainment, and help organize the logistics of the event. We have the highest gratitude for these guys and truly can’t thank them enough for all their love and support. We’re excited to see what next year will bring! ?

Thank you to our SPONSORS for the event:

Thank you to the incredible entertainment:

And to the HUNDREDS of folks who came out and showed up for the event – thank you from the very bottom of our green hearts. None of what we do is possible without your support and we are so excited to continue fighting the good fight, and working hard to make sure we legalize in NY this year! ?
